Jean-Michel's story is coming to Netflix

After its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the “Jean-Michel Basquiat” documentary will stream around the world later this year. This is the first film about our brother made with our full support and participation, and now it will reach homes everywhere.

The film draws on untold memories from close friends and family, never-before-seen works, and rare archival imagery. We’re deeply proud to see Jean-Michel’s full humanity brought to light with such care, intention and respect.

The early response has meant a lot to us, too. Variety called it “the first movie to penetrate the Basquiat mystique” and a full portrait of who he actually was. Thank you to Quinn Whitney Wilson and Viridiana Lieberman for their incredible direction of this film.
